Thinking About... 5 Films I'm looking forward to!

Hi everyone! I realized that there are so many good movies coming out soon. I wanted to share 5 films that I am most looking forward to for the rest of 2016 and 2017.

1. Rouge One: A Star Wars Story (Dec. 16, 2016) - "The Rebellion makes a risky move to steal the plans for the Death Star, setting up the epic saga to follow."

I love Star Wars as you all probably know, so I am so excited for this film. I will probably see this weekend!

2.
Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017) - "A young Peter Parker/Spider-Man begins to navigate his newfound identity as the web-slinging superhero."

I am somewhat apprehensive of this film, because there has been so many Spider-Man film made in the past. I do love Spider-Man and I hope this film meets everyone's expectations.

3. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (2017) - "Set to the backdrop of Awesome Mixtape #2, 'Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2' continues the team's adventures as they unravel the mystery of Peter Quill's true parentage."

I was a fan of the first Guardians of the Galaxy (I love Chris Pratt). So I am excited to hear that there is another one being released in 2017.

4.
Power Rangers (2017) - "A group of high-school kids, who are infused with unique superpowers, harness their abilities in order to save the world."

I watched the trailer for this film and it looked really exciting. I think I watched a few power rangers episodes when I was younger, but I don't really remember :). This movie looks good though.

5.
Beauty and the Beast (2017) - "An adaptation of the Disney fairy-tale about a monstrous prince and a young woman who fall in love."

I am very excited about this live action adaption of Disney's classic film! It looks really good!

(Quotes from:

There are quite a few more films that I am excited about, so I might make a second post!
Hope you all have a great Friday!

Thinking About... Finally Back!

Hi everyone! It has been forever since I have been on Blogger. I have been so busy and just haven't gotten a change to write a post or read any posts. School has been insane. I have finals soon and a lot of papers to write, so I can wait for Christmas break!
.
.
My summer's was great! I got to go camping, boating, and biking...

Our fire when we went camping :)

I also won some stickers from a giveaway by @pnwonderland on Instagram!

I'm so excited for Thanksgiving tomorrow! My favorite Thanksgiving food is mashed potatoes and gravy with stuffing and cranberry sauce. I like homemade mashed potatoes, but everything else, (gravy, stuffing, and cranberries) I like store bought, which isn't like me! What is your favorite food for Thanksgiving?

I'm also super excited for Christmas!! It is my absolute favorite holiday! I can't wait for the Christmas music, holiday decorations, and Christmas lights.

I made a Christmas themed computer wallpaper collage this morning. I really love it! It makes my laptop look so Christmassy! I got all of the pictures off of Pinterest. It you want to make one too, all you have to do is download the app "Fresh Paint" on the Windows store. You can then import pictures from your picture's library and make your own collage!!

I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving!!

Thinking About... Recent!

Hi all! I can't believe that July is going by so quickly! Unfortunately, it seems like I say that every month :( . Oh well. I've been pretty busy with a lot of photography stuff. I'm helping a local football team by taking pictures of their practices. It's really fun! I also just got Adobe Lightroom, so that has been super helpful for making my photos look finished.

...
I've also been watching cooking shows on Netflix! I just finished season 5 of the Worst Cooks in America. It was AMAZING! I'm super addicted to competitive cooking shows ;).

Bobby Flay and Anne Burell are amazing, but I have to say Bobby Flay is my favorite.

Anyways, that's what I've been up to. I thought I'd better post something since it's been so long :).

Bye!

Thinking About... Apps on my phone!

Hey everyone! Happy 2nd day of July! Today I wanted to share some of the lesser known apps that I have on my phone. I didn't include extremely popular apps like Snapchat, Pinterest, or Instagram, because I am guessing you all already know about those :). My phone is also an android so this may be different for you if you have an Apple product.

The first app is Houzz:

Image result for Houzz Social Icon
If you are interested in interior design or beautiful rooms, this app is really cool. It is somewhat like Pinterest but is focused on houses. You can search for a specific style, like Scandinavian (my favorite) to Farmhouse, to Victorian. There are also pictures of outdoor spaces. I always love looking at the pools :). You then can categorize your favorite pictures into ideabooks, which are like boards on Pinterest. There are many other uses for this app also, but I mainly stick with organizing my favorite pictures.

Next we have Rainy Mood:

Image result for rainy mood

Now you can actually buy this as an app, but it costs money ($3.99 on Google Play). What I've done is I've saved the website www.rainymood.com onto the home screen of my phone where it looks like an app, but just takes me to the website. This website is really cool and I usually use it while I sleep. It plays raining noises which can help with sleeping, studying, or just thinking :).

Next we have Emojily:
This app is for android users and is super helpful. Sometimes when an android user sends an emoji to an Apple user, the emoji doesn't look the same. This app will show you what a certain emoji you use will look like to an Apple user.
Image result for emojily
You can see what it looks like above. The imput is from an android phone. The output is what those emojis will look like to an Apple user.

The next app is Heads Up!:

Image result for heads up

This is a game that is super fun to play with friends! It's a guessing game, were your friends give you hints to what the word is on the screen until you guess the correct answer. It keeps giving you new words until the timer runs out. It also videotapes your friends so you can see what they looked like as they were trying to give you the hints, it's pretty funny!

Next we have the app Stack:

Image result for stack app icon

This is just a simple app where you tap the screen to place the blocks on top of each other. If you tap to late, part of the block will break off, making to surface smaller for the next block you are trying to stack.
Image result for stack app
It's pretty fun and really simple to learn, but challenging to play :).

Next we have Quality Time:

Image result for quality time app

This app calculates the amount of time you spend on your phone, and also which apps you spend the most time on. It is really cool, but can also make you feel pretty guilty for spending so much time on your phone lol.
Image result for quality time app
It will also show you how many times you have unlocked your phone or a certain app.

Well that's it for today's post! What did you think of my apps? Have you ever used any of these or do you plan to?

Thanks for reading and have a great day!

Thinking About... My Favoirte Things About Summer!

the very hairs on your head are all numbered. So don't be afraid; you are more valuable to God than a whole flock of sparrows:

Hello everyone! I'm so excited for summer, so I decided to write down some of my favorite things about summer.

"Going to bed in awe of everything. Open windows another night carrying the sounds of thick trees and crickets and distant coyote howls. Restlessness looms and distracts and dares us before we're ready. The stars burn above. Summer is close. Life is so wild and difficult and amazingly enchanting." Victoria Erickson

 My Favorite Things About Summer:

Reading on the beach in the sunshine... There's not much that's better than this!:
Reading interesting books - just read How to Live 24 Hours a Day by Arnold Bennett; it was super thought provoking.

End a perfect evening with friends and family by enjoying s'mores around an open fire. All you need to make this summer-camp treat are bamboo sticks, graham crackers, chocolate, and marshmallows.:
Roasting marshmallows - I just had my first s'more last week. I had forgotten how much I love roasting marshmallows (and eating them ;D).

 :
Cliff Jumping - I just went cliff jumping last week! It was freezing!

breakfast, camp fire, forest, camping, eating outdoors, adventure, smoke, chairs:
Camping - I LOVE CAMPING! I haven't gone yet, but I'm so excited! I'm not a hardcore camper, I like my pop-up trailer and a bathroom within walking distance :).

Perfect pineapple theme pool party. #ShareaCokeSweepstakes:
Fruit - This is the first summer that my family has bought fresh pineapple! My favorite summer fruits are watermelon and pineapple.

Image result for People Going to the Theater
Going to the movies - I don't go to the movies too often, but when I do it's so fun. I just recently watched The Shallows; it was terrifying :)!

What are your favorite things about summer?
Hope you enjoyed; and have a good day!

Thinking About... I'm back!

Hi everyone! I'm sorry I've been gone for almost two months!! I was so busy I hardly even looked at Blogger :(. But I'm back now! I just finished school last Thursday, and am now so excited for summer!
What are some things you all are excited for, for summer?

The past few days I've been watercolor painting; I want to show you all some of the pieces I've created ;).

I was inspired for this painting because I love camping and can't wait to set up my pop-up camper!

I also painted the moon because I've seen a lot of watercolor paintings of the moon, and they looked so pretty.

I'll probably share some more paintings as I paint them, but this is all I have for now :).

I hope you all have a great week; it's good to be back :D!

Thinking About... April book Challenge Day 30!

30. Hardback Stack

Hi everyone! Today is the last day of the April Book Challenge and also the last day of April! I can't believe it went by so quickly! April has been great. Lots of pretty flowers and sunny days (except today it's raining :D lol). Anyways... for today's prompt I chose these two books (which were pretty much the only hardback books I could find :D).
The Secret of the Golden Pavilion By Carolyn Keen.
and
Henry Wadsworth Longfellow: Selected Poems.

Kind of random... but oh well :D.

In the month of May, I am hoping to finish some of the tags I have been nominated for. I also haven't been doing so well on commenting, so I'll be working on those two things :).
Have a great last day of April! See you all in May!

29. Favorite Illustration

Hi everyone! Toady's prompt is favorite illustration! I found a book that I loved when I was young and it has beautiful illustrations!

Tumtum & Nutmeg: The Rose Cottege Tales by Emily Bearn with pictures by Nick Price.

Have a great Friday!

28. Bookish Tattoo

Thinking About... April Book Challenge Day 27!

27. Favorite Male Character

Hi everyone! For this prompt I choose d'Artagnan from the Three Musketeers!

"The character is initially a hotheaded youth, and tries to engage the Comte de Rochefort and the three musketeers, Athos, Porthos, and Aramis in single combat. He quickly becomes friends with the musketeers, and has a series of adventures which put him at odds with Cardinal Richelieu, then First Minister of France. In the end, Richelieu is impressed by d'Artagnan, and makes him a Lieutenant of the Musketeers. This begins his long career of military service, as detailed in the sequels to Dumas' famous novel." -www.goodreads.com

The is one of my favorite lines from the movie :).

Here is a pretty good scene from the movie; I thought I'd share it with you all :).

Have a great day!!

"You are young," replied Athos, "and your bitter memories have time to change into sweet ones."

Thinking About... April Book Challenge Day 26!

26. One Story, Different Covers

Hi everyone! Here's a joke :)
Guy in a library walks up to the librarian and says, “I’ll have a cheeseburger and fries, please.”
Librarian responds, “Sir, you know you’re in a library, right?”
Guy says, “Oh, sorry. [in a whisper] I’ll have a cheeseburger and fries, please.” -www.buzzfeed.com
I thought that was pretty funny :D.
Ok, now for the prompt...

These two books aren't exactly the same story... But they are both by Shakespeare so they count right :)? (I couldn't find books that were the same :D)

Well, that's the end...
Have a great day!

Thinking About... April Book Challenge Day 25!

25. Kiss, Kill, Marry Characters

Hi everyone! Happy Monday... maybe? Lol! Do you have any fun plans for this week? Well, this is the last week of the April Book Challenge! I can't believe this month went by so fast! But I guess it isn't quite over yet, we'll have to wait until Saturday to completely contemplate April :).

Today's prompt seems a little extreme, but oh well! Let's get started... You may seem a theme here :)

Kiss: I would choose Charles Bingley as the second man I would marry, so I'm putting him as Kiss.

Kill: For this let's say, very much dislike. Kill seems pretty drastic: )

I chose John Willoughby from Sense and Sensibility.

Marry: Everyone always talks about celebrity crushes or fictional crushes.... my choice would be:

Captain Wentworth from Persuasion

Have a great Monday!!

Thinking About... April Book Challenge Day 24!

24. Bookish Item

Hello everyone! Happy Sunday! I realized I don't really own any book themed items, but I did find a few things around that might count :).

This is a topographical map I made out of clay and paint on top of a shoe box.
This is the map of one of the stories I've been writing. Except I haven't written in it for a long time... lol. Writers block :).
This is a small storage box that looks pirate-ish to me.

Theses are book shaped storage boxes which I think are very bookish :)

Do you own any bookish  items?
Have a great day!

Thinking About April Book Challenge Day 23!

23. Book You Could Not Put Down

Hi everyone! Yay! It's the weekend :D. I have a lot of homework to do but I'm just glad to be home. I think I may be going out for ice cream later today, so that's exciting!
For today's prompt my answer is going to have to be Andi Carter and the Trouble With Treasure! It is definitely may favorite circle C Ranch book. Which one is your favorite?

Andrea Carter and the Trouble with Treasure (Circle C Adventures #2)

I'm sure you all have read it, but I thought I might as well add a summary just in case :).

"When innocent horseplay temporarily lands Andi and her friends in jail, they decide that a trip into the mountains will leave their troubles far behind. Accompanied by big brother Mitch and armed with a map showing old gold diggings, they canit wait to strike it rich. What could be better than two weeks of camping and horseback riding?

But instead of gold they find heaps of trouble -- trouble that leaves Mitch gravely wounded. Andi needs help fast. But who can she trust? And what good is a bag of gold when her beloved brother lies near death in the middle of nowhere?" www.goodreads.com/

I love Andrea Carter Books! Circle C Milestone books are amazing too :)!
Have a great weekend! See you all tomorrow!

Thinking About... April Book Challenge Day 22!

22. 22nd Book on the Shelf!

Hey everyone! So I counted 22 books on the shelf and this wonderful book was lucky #22!
Trixy Belden: The Gatehouse Mystery. I read this book a long time ago and I remember really liking it! Unfortunately, this book looks pretty beat up; I think my dog chewed on it when he was a puppy. He was a very destructive young one :).
My photography skills tonight (I am writing this post Thursday night) aren't too amazing, but hey it was late so the lighting wasn't the best :).

That concludes this post! Have a great Friday!!

Thinking About... April Book Challenge Day 21!

21. Favorite Female Character
Hi everyone! Happy Thursday!

One of my favorite female characters is Echo from Ride the River by Louis L’Amour! This is one of my all-time favorite books; it's so good!

"In Ride the River, Louis L’Amour spins the tale of a young woman who has to protect her family fortune from a murderous thief and teach him what it means to be a Sackett. Sixteen-year-old Echo Sackett had never been far from her Tennessee home—until she made the long trek to Philadelphia to collect an inheritance. Echo could take care of herself as well as any Sackett man, but James White, a sharp city lawyer, figured that cheating the money from the young girl would be like taking candy from a baby. If he couldn’t hoodwink Echo out of the cash, he’d just steal it from her outright. And if she put up a fight? There were plenty of accidents that could happen to a country girl on her first trip to the big city." -www.goodreads.com

"Novels aren’t just happy escapes; they are slivers of people’s souls, nailed to the pages, dripping ink from veins of wood pulp. Reading the right one at the right time can make all the difference."
-Brandon Sanderson

Who is one of your favorite characters?
Have a great day!

Thinking About... April Book Challenge Day 20!

20. Favorite Quote

For this prompt I went and searched on the internet for some of the best literature quotes, and found a few gems :).

Here we go! So the first two quotes are from books that I have never read, but that I think are beautiful.

“It does not do well to dwell on dreams and forget to live, remember that.”
—J.K. Rowling, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone

“One must be careful of books, and what is inside them, for words have the power to change us.”
—Cassandra Clare, The Infernal Devices

What do you think of these quotes? Do you have a favorite quote?

Well that concludes this post!
Have a great day :D!

Thinking About... April Book Challenge Day 19!

19. A Hero

Hello everyone! There are many great heroes in literature but for today I chose Beowulf.

'"The hero of all heroes," Beowulf, strong and courageous, is the prince of Geats. Once he makes a vow, he stands by his word, no matter what the cost, even if it takes his life. He is reluctant to back down from battle, just so he can be there for the people who are in great need to be saved from evil. He signifies the true heroic character because he is willing to risk his life for his ideals. Beowulf defeats three gruesome monsters, two of whom are descendants of Cain.' - csis.pace.edu

Beowulf quote found on Pinterest

If you want to, comment below of a hero that you remember from literature. Or share your favorite hero!

Have a great day!

Thinking About... April Book Challenge Day 18!

18. Book & T.V. Show

Hi everyone! For today's prompt, I chose Jeeves & Wooster by P.G. Wodehouse. I believe you can watch all of the episodes on YouTube, at least I did a few years ago :)! They are super good and funny!

Have a great day everyone!!
