Hey everybody! I wanted to share a few websites that I have found helpful for writing.

http://creativitygames.net/random-word-generator This website generates a random word (or more). You could use the word as the start of a book, chapter, thought or an idea. It is also just fun to play around with :).

 

 

 

 

 

http://www.writingeekery.com/ I haven't searched into this website very much but it looks very informative and helpful. MJ Bush, the author of the site is a full-time writing coach, editor, and fantasy writer.

 

 

 

 

 



http://character.namegeneratorfun.com/ This website will give you a complete list of a random character's personality, ethnicity, and name. This is also just fun to play around with :).

Here is a shortened example:

"My character's name is: Kylee Hansen

She is a European American female.

Personality: The Actor.

INFP: Introvert Intuitive Feeling Perceiving." 

http://www.thesaurus.com/ I use this website all of the time for synonyms of words. It also has interesting facts like word of the day, word facts and word trends.

http://www.top-100-baby-names-search.com/index.html This is a great website to get character names from. I've used this source multiple times for my characters and find it very helpful. There are categories like names by country, unique names, medieval names etc...

https://wordcounter.net/ I also use this website all of the time to tell me how many words are in my story. It is very helpful and can show you the key word density, average sentence words, and reading level of your writing.
