Thinking About... Writing Tips and a Book!

Hey everyone! I wanted to post some more writing tips for you all! I selected these off of my Pinterest board Writing Tips. I pin things to it all the time so if you liked this post be sure to check out my board for many more pins :)!

Writing problems #68 The one time you actually feel like writing, you have no clue what to write.:

Haha yes!:

Prompt.:

It begins with a character... A little voice that won't be silent.:

Here are some photos for writing prompts. I love the idea of writing a story off of a photograph. It gives you an image to visualize and inspire you! This is my Pinterest Board for Writing settings! Be sure to check it out for more amazing photographs.

Also...

I've been reading this really great book called Snoop: What Your Stuff Says About You
By Sam Gosling

I got this book for Christmas, and I have been really enjoying it! This is the summary that I got from Amazon: "Do the things on your desk betray the thoughts on your mind? Does your dining room décor carry clues to your character? Award-winning psychologist Sam Gosling has dispatched teams of scientific investigators to poke around bedrooms and offices, check out iPods, and peek at personal websites—to see what can be learned about us simply from looking at our belongings."

I was very interested in reading this book, because it reminded me of one of my favorite T.V shows, Psych. Shawn Spencer (in the green shirt) has the amazing ability to find hidden clues in crime scenes. Shawn and his best friend Gus (in the white shirt) solve crimes which stump the police department.

Anyways... I wanted to share what book I am reading with you all, I'm really enjoying it :)!

Have you ever seen Psych? Does Snoop sound like a good book to you? What book are you reading right now?

Have a great weekend!

  1. Wow, those prompts look like so much fun! I sometimes write short stories on pictures too. I also occasionally write stories based on dreams that I happened to remember :) No, I've never seen Psych before, but it sounds really good! And so does Snoop! So what has it told about you? :) I'm reading Silas Marner right now...it's for school :)

Do you know if I'll be able to see your Pinterest boards? I've never used Pinterest before and I don't have an account....
