Thinking About... My Favoirte Things About Summer!

Hello everyone! I'm so excited for summer, so I decided to write down some of my favorite things about summer.

Restlessness looms and distracts and dares us before we're ready. The stars burn above. Summer is close. Life is so wild and difficult and amazingly enchanting." Victoria Erickson

 My Favorite Things About Summer:

Reading interesting books - just read How to Live 24 Hours a Day by Arnold Bennett; it was super thought provoking.

Roasting marshmallows - I just had my first s'more last week. I had forgotten how much I love roasting marshmallows (and eating them ;D).

Cliff Jumping - I just went cliff jumping last week! It was freezing!

Camping - I LOVE CAMPING! I haven't gone yet, but I'm so excited! I'm not a hardcore camper, I like my pop-up trailer and a bathroom within walking distance :).

Fruit - This is the first summer that my family has bought fresh pineapple! My favorite summer fruits are watermelon and pineapple.

Going to the movies - I don't go to the movies too often, but when I do it's so fun. I just recently watched The Shallows; it was terrifying :)!

Thinking About... The Super Moon!

Hi everybody! I took a few pictures of the supermoon Sunday night and I wanted to share some of the photos with you all!

"The supermoon, which occurs when the moon is at

its closest point to Earth in its orbit, made the moon

appear 14 percent larger and 30 percent brighter.

The lunar eclipse, which occurs when the moon

passes through the Earth’s shadow, caused the

red color. Neither event is uncommon, but they do not

This will not happen again until 2033!

Here it is when it was very red.

Here you can see the shadow of the earth moving away, and the original white of the moon!

I took this photograph in my front yard, and was so excited to get a crisp image of a bee!

I took this photograph of a brand-new flower at the same park.

This pink flower was so pretty I couldn't resist taking it's picture.
